In light of Laurie Ann's new show "Born To Dance", I felt that it was appropriate to spotlight other notable FEMALE Choreographers. This is a generation that is quick to forget those who've paved the way for the ones who are popular today. This is crazy because I've had this idea in my head for THE LONGEST & now I'm finally bringing it to life. Check out some female choreographers of the 80-90s. You might be surprised at what they've choreographed.. I was!
PAULA ABDUL
I'm still puzzled as to why she was an American Idol judge, since dancing was her strongest point. Starting out as a Laker Girl, then being discovered by the Jacksons, and choreographing their video "Torture", gave her the start she needed.

TINA LANDON
Even though I acquaint Tina Landon with Janet Jackson Choreography (She choreographed the whole "Velvet Rope Tour"), she has choreographed videos for artists such as Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Mya and Christina Aguilera.
FAVORITE CHOREOGRAPHY: Scream-Michael and Janet Jackson
FATIMA ROBINSON:
Fatima has choreographed movies from Dreamgirls and The Cheetah Girls, and for recording artists Back Eyed Peas ("My Humps"), but you and I both know that Fatima is closely associated with the late Aaliyah. Fatima has choreographed all of Aaliyah's videos.
FAVORITE CHOREOGRAPHY: Rock The Boat-Aaliyah
LAURIEANN GIBSON:
Miss Boomkack is closely associated with Diddy, being that she was the choreographer for the show Making The Band. But before that, she was a Fly Girl for In Living Color. The movie, Honey, was based off of her life, and choreographed by her as well. Besides choreographing Danity Kane, her works include the provocative "The Way You Love Me" Video by Keri Hilson, Jojo's "Not That Kinda Girl", and most of Lady Gaga's videos.
FAVORITE CHOREOGRAPHY: Brandy-Afrodisiac
