REDD RANTS: I hate Job Interviews

The summertime is the perfect time to go out, find a job, and save up some money for the next school year: whether it be clothes, vacation money, or the money you're putting towards a car. We all want it, and we have nothing but time on our hands right now.

But MAN OH MAN, I HATE the job seeking process! You gotta go into the store, asking "Are you all hiring?" get an application, call them back, blah blah blah blah, and then FINALLY they call you back!

For an interview. The WORST part.

I am TOO awkward to SHINE during a JOB INTERVIEW!

REDD'S RISING STARS: Brianna Chevonne

Brianna Chevonne Nurse is an up and coming artist born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. She's been belting out strong vocals since the age of 2, and obviously there's even more to come.

She's signed with Arrow Records, & just released a single titled "All That I Need," which you can check out here.

REDD'S RUNWAY: GB HUFFINGTON

GB Huffington, founded by four male students from Clemson University [Felix Wilson, Jeffery Akom, and Robert Miller III] is a clothing line based on simplicity. Although many clothing lines strive to be unique and loud, GB Huffington takes the minimalistic route, with a simple, yet complex message.

GB Huffington, the GB standing for George Brinkly (the alias of founder Robert) was originally supposed to be a clothing line that popped up; no one was supposed to know where it came from or who started it.

The founders hope for this clothing line to go far one day; and with this
new approach to fashion, quality clothing, and unique style, I'm sure it will.

Order your GB Huffington attire HERE

I love how the founders are taking a break against overly-eccentric clothing but still making a statement. It's a clothing line different from what I've seen, and for that I love it!

Dear Vibe ..

VIBE,
VIBE's 2012 Sexy Issue Cover Story
Ask anyone I know how strongly I felt about you featuring four Scantily-Clad Reality TV stars on the cover of your magazine with the caption "Meet Your New Role Models."

Now granted, I was more angry that you featured a certain two females on the cover than I was about the other two. I won't speak on it, but it's pretty obvious to anyone that has seen all four shows: this letter is more-so targeted to their appearance on this cover.

REDD REVIEWS: THE 2012 BILLBOARD AWARDS

**This review is not polished in the slightest. Just a random collection of my thoughts during the awards show.**

Last night, 5 mins before The 2012 Billboard Awards premiered, I was in the bed. Not really wanting to watch the awards, I remind myself that it was my journalistic duty, and like most award shows, I was going get into it, and glad I watched them.

I was sadly mistaken.

The Billboard Awards was like 3 hours of glitz, glamour, and a whole bunch of other things that made it seem like it was wayy longer than it should be. But what was the problem?

What Happened to The Game?

The Game, the Spin-Off from the TV Show Girlfriends, was the ground breaking show that was cancelled by The CW in 2009, and brought back by BET in 2011, debuting at 7.7 Million viewers.

Those faithful followers of The Game eagerly tuned in on January 11, 2011, but over time people became disappointed with the noticeable differences of the show. People no longer tune in with the same type of eagerness, and with last's night announced that the main characters, Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall leaving the show, it confirmed for people what everybody was quietly already thinking "The Game is Over."

But where did this negative connotation with such a popular show come from? What happened to The Game?

REDD'S RUNWAY: Ignorance Driven Knits

Developed by Claflin University Graduate Jordan Coburn, Ignorance Driven Knits is a clothing line developed to stomp out ignorance in the world with inspiring statements on stylish articles of clothing. From short and sweet messages such as "Wake Up," to longer, thought provoking ones like "Why am I the target? Because they fear your true power," to just the classic IDK logo, Ignorance Driven Knits is clearly Fashion with a Purpose.

Ignorance Driven Knits offers V-Necks, Crew Necks, Tank, Sweatshirts..etc. So Basically you can look stylish and counteract ignorance in any season.

Personally, I love the clothing line. The mixture of the simple yet fashionable designs and the depths of the messages are amazing. With so much negativity and ignorance in the world it's nice to be a walking poster board for positivity. The style of the clothing is very versatile: you can dress it up, or simply throw on a Hoodie and still turn heads. Evoking positivity while being stylish: Fashion with Intellegence.

Get your Ignorance Driven Knits HERE.
